After choosing your girlfriends to be your bridesmaids for the big day, delegating special roles to each bridesmaid can help your ladies focus on their tasks to work seamlessly together. While planning for our wedding back then, we found this extremely useful and hope this would help ease the actual wedding day rush.
 

1. The Nanny
She would be the dedicated person that follows the bride everywhere and attend to all her needs. Need water/food/touch-up of makeup? She is the  go-to person with an “emergency kit” that contains bobby pins, Hollywood tape, makeup, hairspray and tissues etc. Her sole responsibility would be to ensure the bride stay radiant and happy.  


2. Party Planner
In Singaporean culture, gate crash games are highly anticipated and well thought out in order to prove the groom’s undying love and to win approval from everyone. Choose a dedicated party planner to coordinate and help spearhead the brainstorming discussion for the gate crash games. She would help finalize the games and ensure that all the necessary props and ingredients would be ready on the actual day. Perhaps she can double up to help plan your hen’s night as well?


3. Main Coordinator
She would help aid to ensure the overall smooth running of the entire wedding day. With the wedding schedule in hand, the main coordinator ensures that the bridal party would keep to the time schedule permitted especially during the morning rush. During the wedding dinner, she plays a key role in working with the hotel wedding coordinator and key family members for a smooth sequence of events.  


4. Miss Logistics
This lady would be in charge of all things logistically needed to be executed i.e collection of Ang Baos/gifts to be safely secured while travelling to different locations for the morning rush. Changing of outfits and transportation of items would be under her checklist to ensure all necessary items are moved from one location to the other.


5. Emcee
Have an eloquent bridesmaid that is outspoken and not afraid of public speaking? Why not double up and choose an emcee within your bridesmaid entourage? Whilst the rest of the ladies can help in your wedding reception, she will help to host your wedding night to make it unforgettable one.

1.  It’s not Me, its all about You.
Sometimes amidst all the excitement in the planning stages, bridesmaids may lose sight of the big picture. They may give suggestions on how they would plan things or make certain decisions be it on wedding gown selection, colour themes and the list goes on. Remember at the back at your mind, this is your best friend’s wedding. All she needs now is your support and help, the last thing would be to give her unnecessary added wedding stress.

2. Say Yes to the Dress

 
Hate pastel colours? Don’t be a difficult bridesmaid.   

Understand from the bride the wedding theme and see what designs and colours would work when choosing a bridesmaid dress.

Although it is important that the bridesmaid entourage looks good, deciding on the final colour and design rests primarily on the bride. It's her special day, not yours.
 

 

3. Constant Support
Wedding planning can sometimes be stressful for the bride who needs either emotional support from her best girlfriends or really simply someone to help her out with her never-ending “To-do-list”.  Be proactive in offering your help and have a positive attitude to ease the bride’s nerves.

On the actual wedding day, it is every bridesmaid’s duty to keep the bride relaxed and happy. Simple gestures such as feeding the bride water to keep her hydrated, compliment on how beautiful she looks goes a long way in easing the wedding jitters.

Put together a wedding kit which includes items such as bobby pins, Hollywood tape, makeup, hairspray and tissues to keep your bride looking flawless all day.

­4. Plan an Awesome Hen’s Night
Take a break from wedding planning and organize a special hen’s night for the bride! It can be a low key dinner/brunch with all the ladies to unwind or head for a girls night out!

5. Enjoy being a Bridesmaid!
It is a great honour to be selected as part of the bridal entourage and the best opportunity to take part in a major celebration in your best friend’s life. Delegate the responsibilities for each bridesmaid so that everyone can do their part. Have fun and enjoy the experience to be the best bridesmaid you can be.
